City of Los Angeles Announces Taylor Yard G2 River Park Project Community Events in January

Jan. 20th Community Site Tour Day and Jan. 24th Design Workshop

LOS ANGELES – The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering is holding two public events in January 2018 to engage the public on the Taylor Yard G2 River Park Project, the revitalization of a newly-acquired, 42-acre site adjacent to the LA River. 

Saturday January 20, 2018

Community Site Tour Day at Taylor Yard G2 Parcel

10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (last tour leaves at 12:45 p.m.)

Self-guided walking tours will give participants site and project information, as well as background on LA River revitalization. City officials will be on hand to answer questions.

Access to the tour is off San Fernando Road (access road is marked "Metrolink Central Maintenance Facility.” It is between Chaucer Street and Rio de Los Angeles State Park entrance). Parking is available on site.

NOTE: Participants MUST wear closed toe shoes and long pants. Path is slightly uneven.

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This will be an opportunity for the public to share design and programming ideas and visions for nearer-term interim uses and long-term permanent uses as the project progresses through phased remediation and redevelopment.
