On June 11th, the City's first Accessing LA webinar, which are temporarily replacing in-person Accessing LA events, was conducted, with an at-capacity participation of over 1,000 Angelenos. Accessing LA is the flagship contracting and business networking event of the City of Los Angeles. In lieu of the in-person outreach event, virtual workshops are being held to share information and resources on how to do business with the City. The Board of Public Works & Bureau of Contract Administration, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Budget & Innovation, Economic & Workforce Development Department, and the Department of Water and Power (DWP) hosted the Accessing LA Webinar Kick-off “Doing Business with the City.” Guest speakers included City of LA Board of Public Works President Kevin James and Commissioner Jessica Caloza, DWP Commissioner Susana Reyes, Mayor's Chief Procurement Officer Shannon Hoppes, Erin Henning (DWP), and Jesus Fontamillas (City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering).
