Greg Good Elected New President of Board of Public Works

Greg Good was elected President of the Board of Public Works in July 2020. In this capacity, he sets the Board's agenda, serves on the Mayor's Cabinet, and makes final policy decisions on the Board's budget proposals.

Prior to joining the Board, Greg served as Chief of Legislative & External Affairs for Mayor Eric Garcetti. Previously, Greg served Mayor Garcetti as Executive Officer for the Office of City Services and as Director of Infrastructure. Prior to joining the Mayor’s Office, Greg spent seven years at the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy (LAANE), worked as a teacher in the Inglewood and Compton Unified School Districts, worked in leadership position at Teach for America and also worked as an actor, writer and producer in LA. Greg received his undergraduate degree in history from Brown University and his J.D. from UCLA School of Law.

Greg currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Program for Torture Victims (PTV), an organization that provides services to survivors of state-sponsored torture from other countries. Greg is the proud husband of Alicia Hancock, Deputy Attorney General for the State of California, and father of Ruby Jean Hancock-Good.
