Los Angeles Sanitation celebrated America Recycles Day on November 15 by partnering with private and nonprofit organizations to host a series of events throughout Los Angeles. The events showcased the “recycLA” program and ways Angelenos are doing their part to reduce waste.
LA Sanitation and the City of Los Angeles recycling and waste collection program for businesses and apartments throughout the city is called “recycLA.” The innovative program is geared to reduce the City’s dependence on landfills and help the City to comply with state environmental mandates. recycLA is part of LA’s commitment to enhance the quality of life and become the first big city in the nation to achieve zero waste by 2025.
