South LA residents are already doing a great job taking recyclables to self-redemption centers, but recycling is much more than bottles and cans. Over the next few months, we’ll be sharing easy, helpful recycling tips to help residents build better habits. We’re hoping that you’ll help us share these tips!

Each week, we’ll be checking our trucks on the South LA routes and recording recycling data, which will be shared on a public dashboard. Each household within South LA will be assigned to a team based on their collection route, and we’re asking residents to register their participation before March 31. As strong recycling habits are built, we should see recycling rates going up each week.

Every registered participant (maximum one per household) on the team with the most improved recycling rates will have the opportunity to visit our free household essentials pantry stocked with paper products, cleaning supplies, school necessities, and more!

South LA residents can sign up at www.lacitysan.org/bluebin.
