Meet Lyndsay. She joined the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering in 2015 as a Civil Engineering Associate. After completing technical roles as the project engineer of several wastewater conveyance system projects and becoming a licensed Civil Engineer, Lyndsay quickly found a passion for project management and engaging with and serving the public. In 2019, she was given the opportunity to relocate her office to City Hall and become the Bureau of Engineering’s Liaison to the City Council and the Board of Public Works.

The Bureau of Engineering is responsible for delivering capital improvement projects and issuing permits for the public right-of-way. It is Lyndsay’s responsibility to ensure that its managers are equipped with the support and approvals that they need to better serve Angelenos. She is the Bureau of Engineering’s Mentorship Program Coordinator which gives her the opportunity to transfer knowledge and instill passion within the next generation of engineers. Being able to engage closely with people and directly impact their communities in a positive way is why Lyndsay loves building LA.
